City of Heroes?is a Massive Multiplayer online Role Playing Game based in the setting of Paragon City. In this fictional city, you get the opportunity to not only play, but create, a superhero in the defense of the city against the tide of villainy that threatens to wash over it.

In creating your character, you will get to choose from 5 Archetypes, or ATs, and hundreds of powers grouped into sets. From there you will proceed to the now famous Character creator. Using the amazing number of costume and color options allows you to create a character of unparalleled uniqueness.

Once done with the Character Creator, your superhero is launched into the world of Paragon City either through the tutorial zone or straight to the city streets. From there you fight crime in increasing villainy and danger as your character increases in levels of power and heroism. As your superhero gains new security levels, newer and more amazing powers become available for them to use against the forces of evil that threaten the city.

Rich and stunning city and hazard zones including sprawling sky scrappers, wooded valleys, dank sewers, and blasted ruins all make up the metropolitan city that contains unlimited adventures for your discovery.

You are not alone however. Hundreds, even thousands, of others just like you are fighting to defend the city from crime and villainy. Join them in teams to take on even more powerful threats and even create or join a Super-group to have a more permanent bond with fellow like minded heroes!
