What will you use my e-mail address for?

Confidentiality is very important to me (the webmaster). The only people who have access to your e-mail address that is attached to your account are Administrators/Moderators of the site. Occasionally, I may double-check things to make sure that invalid accounts are removed (if you created your account but put in the wrong e-mail address). Occasionally, I might mass e-mail all registered members of the site to verify whether or not they want to continue using the site. Aside from that, I will NOT distribute your e-mail address to anyone else without your explicit consent.

What should I do if I forget my password?

If you forget your password, you can trigger a password change from the login section. What this will do is trigger an e-mail to the address attached to your account with a link you can use to reset your password. Your password is stored in an encrypted format (one-way encryption). It's next to impossible to determine what you actually use for your password from the encryption string. Occasionally, you may run into a case where your mail service BLOCKS the e-mail messages sent from this system. If you are unable to receive that e-mail, use the Feedback link to send me an e-mail. Indicate your user name and e-mail address in that e-mail. I will then assign you a new password.

How do I get listed in a supergroup?

In the previous version of this site, the player could choose to assign themselves to any supergroup. In this version, the creator of the supergroup (on this site) and players with Leader and Captain status in the SG are the only one who can add/remove members from the SG. Your best bet is to use an in-game message to a Leader in your SG. If they don't know how to assign members on this site, they will (hopefully) know who can.

What is this site for?

This site is primary used for listing different characters in City of Heroes and displaying information and screenshots of those characters.

What types of files can I upload?

You can only upload JPG images to the site. In addition, the files must have a .JPG extension. .JPE and .JPEG extensions will cause the upload to fail. This limitation is due to the coding of how pictures are rendered. For the most part, all pictures on the site are dynamically resized and resampled. The script converts the images to a JPG format. If the image were a GIF with a transparent background, the transparency would be lost. Since the screenshots in COH now use JPG by default, it's the simplest option.

Do I need to register?

You will need to register if you want to add content, including replying to postings in the Messages section. If you simply want to view content, you don't need to register.
